Purpose of TakoFinTakoFin (Tako the Finance Buddy) is a subscription-based personal finance tool that enables users to log expenses, categorize transactions, and sync their data with a connected Google Sheet. The bot provides AI-assisted logging, insights, recurring entries, and subscription management.

2. Information We CollectTo operate TakoFin effectively, we collect the following data:
  • Telegram User ID
  • Telegram Username (if available)
  • Display Name
  • Google Sheet ID linked to the bot
  • Bot preferences and configuration
  • Expense and recurring transaction data (for bot usage)
  • Subscription metadata (e.g., Stripe session IDs)
3. How Your Data Is UsedYour data is used solely for providing TakoFin’s features, including:
  • Logging and categorizing expenses
  • Saving and retrieving preferences
  • Maintaining your Google Sheet connection
  • Managing your subscription status
  • Improving bot functionality

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for marketing or unrelated services.

4. Data Storage & SecurityAll metadata is securely stored using Supabase, which provides encrypted and access-controlled database services. Only authorized system processes may access your data. We follow standard industry practices to safeguard your information.

5. Third-Party ServicesTakoFin integrates with the following platforms:
  • Google Sheets API – read/write access to your selected Google Sheet
  • Telegram Bot API – secure delivery of messages
  • Supabase – secure data storage
  • Google Cloud Platform – backend hosting
  • Stripe – subscription and payment processing (we never access your card details)
6. Data Sharing & DisclosureWe do not share your personal data with external parties except:
  • When processed directly by Stripe for billing
  • When required to comply with legal obligations

We never store or access your credit card information.

7. User ConsentBy using TakoFin, you acknowledge and consent to the data handling practices outlined in this privacy policy.

8. Data RetentionUser metadata is retained for as long as necessary to provide the bot’s features. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 9).

9. Data Deletion RequestsTo delete your data permanently, email us at youthmoneymojosg@gmail.com with your Telegram User ID. Deletion requests will be processed in a reasonable timeframe.

10. Your RightsDepending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
  • Access your stored data
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Request data deletion
  • Withdraw consent

11. Cookies & TrackingThe Telegram bot does not use cookies. However, if you visit the TakoFin website or Stripe Checkout, cookies or analytics tracking may be used for security and performance purposes.

12. Policy UpdatesThis privacy policy may be updated periodically. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of TakoFin after such changes indicates acceptance.
